Superwomen
Told in first person, “SUPERWOMEN” shares the lives of four great and high achieving African American women. The book itself is written primarily for students in 1st and 2nd grades and so tries to simplify the language used to describe the magnitude of the greatness of these women.
The reader is briefly informed of the lives and accomplishments of Wilma Rudolph, Billie Holiday, Mary McLeod Bethune and Madame C.J. Walker. Although each woman’s story is very different, the reader is taken through what unites these characters. The factors that make them Superwomen.
All four women reflect upon their decisions to stick to their goals and to never give up on their dreams. An encouraging read for students in school as well as at home. A must have for your collection.
